Privacy policy

What Auxtion stores, what is public and what stays private.

Information we hold

Account information: your email address, display name, account role and the date you joined.

Marketplace activity: listings, bids, orders, messages, reviews, reports, disputes and notifications you create.

Public seller profile information you choose to publish, such as a biography, city-level location, website and social links.

What is public

Listings, listing photographs, sale prices, seller display names, seller profiles you have chosen to publish, and seller reviews.

Bid history shows the bid amount, time and a partially masked bidder name. Bidder account identifiers are not displayed in the interface.

What is private

Your email address, address details given for delivery, conversations, order records, reports and disputes are visible only to the participants involved and to marketplace administrators where moderation requires it.

The exact reserve price of an auction is never shown publicly.

Security and retention

Access is controlled at the database level: each record is readable only by the members entitled to it. Administrative actions are recorded in an audit log.

Records are retained while your account is active and as required to maintain transaction and moderation history.

Your choices

You can edit your display name, notification preferences and public profile at any time, and choose whether your location and sales history are displayed.

You can request deletion of your account data by contacting marketplace support.

This policy describes how Auxtion actually operates. Auxtion connects buyers and sellers directly and does not process, hold, refund or guarantee payments.
